VESTOLIT P 1382 K is an emulsion (E) PVC modified with 20 % acrylate. By virtue of this modification with acrylate, VESTOLIT P 1382 K is suitable for use as an additive to S-, M- and E-PVC for the production of increased or highly impact resistant pigmented or translucent products.
VESTOLIT P 1382 K in film production yields numerous benefits. From addition levels as low as 5 %, the ability to cut and shape the material is improved, whereas above 10 %, the tensile impact strengths (both unnotched and notched) are improved. Without affecting the Vicat softening temperature, the deep drawing behaviour of films produced using VESTOLIT P 1382 K is also improved.
In sheet extrusion, both the impact resistance, and the surface quality are also improved.
